TAMPA, Fla. – James Judge, a local businessman, U.S. Coast Guard veteran and Tampa Bay area native, formally filed to run for the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday.
Judge, a Republican, submitted the appropriate notarized paperwork with the Florida Division of Elections and is following through on his promise to try to unseat Democrat incumbent Kathy Castor in Florida’s 14th Congressional District. Castor has held the seat since being elected in 2006.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Matt Becker, a former deputy chief of staff and White House Liaison for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), has endorsed James Judge for Congress in Florida’s 14th Congressional District, according to press release issued by the campaign Monday.
“Under Biden, Pelosi and Kathy Castor’s leadership, the economy is falling off the tracks, and that includes right here in the Tampa Bay area where fuel prices and inflation are soaring, and affordable housing is further out of reach for the average person than ever before,” said Becker. “James is a smart businessman, war veteran, down-to-earth, and frankly the right choice to represent Tampa and St. Petersburg in Washington. This election, I say we vote local and elect the only candidate born-and-raised here in the Tampa Bay area.”
TAMPA, Fla. – Congressman Ted Yoho, who served Florida’s 3rd Congressional District until early last year, has endorsed James Judge for Congress, according to a press release issued by the campaign on Monday.
“Being a veterinarian by trade, I had the opportunity to meet James in 2016 when his company was unveiling a new, life-like, detailed surgical trainer developed through a private sector partnership with the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine,” said Yoho. “Since then, I’ve had him over to my home, gotten to know him, and I firmly believe he is not only qualified as a military veteran and small business owner, but he’s just the right kind of guy you want to help guide our republic back on course and represent the good people of the Tampa Bay area.”
TAMPA, Fla. – Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard has endorsed James Judge for U.S. Congress in Florida’s 14th Congressional District, according to a news release issued by the campaign on Tuesday.
“I’ve known James for more than 25 years, since he was a young man in youth group at Calvary Baptist Church here in Clearwater. I know he is authentic, and I believe he is genuinely running for all of the right reasons,” said Hibbard. “James not only has a wealth of experience with the federal government, having served in Iraq and Afghanistan with the U.S. military, but he also understands business and has done a lot to give back to the Tampa Bay area. I think James is absolutely the best candidate to represent FL-14 in Washington.”
