TAMPA, Fla. – Senator Rick Scott, who also served as the 45th governor of Florida, endorsed James Judge, the Republican nominee in the race for Florida’s 14th Congressional District on Thursday.
“I encourage everyone in the 14th Congressional District to vote for James Judge,” Scott said. “He will help Republicans take back the House and fire Pelosi! I’m proud to endorse James!”
Judge is facing incumbent Democrat and career politician, Kathy Castor, who has been in office since 2006.
“I am absolutely grateful to Senator Scott for his endorsement and support of me and this campaign,” said Judge. “I’m rarely at a loss for words, but I can’t adequately describe how much of an honor it is to have the former governor and current senator of my home state give me his endorsement. Thank you, Senator Scott!”
On Aug. 23, Judge won his primary election by 24 points, despite being outspent 10-to-one by his closest competitor.
Judge has earned the endorsement of several prominent figures and organizations.

About James Judge:
Judge, a Tampa Bay area native, is the Republican nominee for Florida’s 14th Congressional District. Judge graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg and was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard.
