The Republican frontrunner in Florida’s 14th Congressional District, James Judge, received a key endorsement from a sitting Congressman and a close ally of former President Donald J. Trump.
TAMPA, Fla. – The Republican leader in the primary race for Florida’s 14th Congressional District was endorsed by Republican Congressman Paul Gosar on Tuesday, who currently represents the people of Arizona’s 4th Congressional District.
Gosar is a member of the House of Representatives’ Freedom Caucus and is a close ally of former President Donald J. Trump, who endorsed Gosar’s reelection campaign in 2020 and 2022. Trump called Gosar “highly respected,” and said he was strong on fighting crime, closing the U.S. southern border with Mexico, and in supporting America’s military.
Like Judge, Gosar also favors cutting government red tape, lowering taxes for the American people and getting America’s reckless spending and inflation under control.
“James Judge is a man of character, principle and integrity who will serve the people of Florida and all Americans with dignity and honor,” said Gosar. “We are aligned on many crucial issues, including reducing the federal debt, tackling Joe Biden’s out-of-control spending and inflation, supporting our law enforcement and protecting our Second Amendment. James has my unequivocal endorsement, and I look forward to serving with him in the House Freedom Caucus when he is elected to Congress in November.”
Judge’s primary opponent is a scandal-plagued multi-millionaire from South Florida who reportedly bought a house outside of Florida’s 14th Congressional District only weeks ago after initially declaring that he would run for Congress in Florida’s 15th Congressional District. That opponent and his campaign are currently being sued by the Democratic Party, which could result in disqualification from the ballot.
Ultimately, Judge is running to unseat incumbent Democrat Kathy Castor, who notoriously supports pro-crime policies like defunding the police, and a litany of other far-left progressive issues.
Judge proudly accepted Gosar’s endorsement.
“Congressman Gosar is an ardent fighter for the conservative agenda in Washington, and is well-known for standing against the radical left in their attempts to impose their fringe progressive agenda on the American public,” Judge said. “Congressman Gosar is not a wallflower in Washington, and I won’t be either. He is an outspoken, no-nonsense conservative, who understands that the Democrats’ far-left agenda is an existential threat to America. I’m thankful to have his support, and I’m looking forward to serving alongside him after I defeat Kathy Castor in November.”
Gosar’s endorsement is another in a string of recent high-profile endorsements for Judge’s campaign, which is quickly gaining momentum.
Judge has also been endorsed by The Tampa Police Benevolent Association, Congressman Ted Yoho (retired 2021), Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard and former SBA White House Deputy Chief Matt Becker, who previously ran for Congress against an incumbent Democrat in St. Petersburg.

Judge, who publicly announced his run for Congress earlier this year, is the only Tampa Bay area native running in the race, having been born in Clearwater, Florida.
